Dr. An Nguyen, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Dr. Nguyen is a former Professor of Computer Engineering at San Jose State University, where he created new courses, helped the

programs earn accreditation and work on advanced FPGA technology.

He also served as a visiting professor at Stanford University’s VA Hospital, conducting research in bioinformatics. There, he developed

an interactive 3D model of DNA to study how chromosomes interact, which could help identify potential causes of cancer.

Working with Duy Tan University in Vietnam and scientists in Silicon Valley, Dr. Nguyen co-founded ABC Gene Test and developed a

DNA-based early pregnancy detection test. This test was later commercialized and sold worldwide.

As the founder of E-Free Commerce, a technology consulting firm, he led a team of engineers in developing cutting-edge hardware,

software, and algorithms for startups in the Bay Area, particularly in power systems. Under his leadership, E-Free successfully built a

specialized laser-based sensor system to detect tiny cracks in submarines and aircraft. This project was funded by NASA and NAVAIR.

Dr. Nguyen earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1993. His

research focused on creating a system to control remote robots, inspired by how the human eye tracks movement. His work has since

been applied to technologies such as GPS and self-driving vehicles.
